I, Roberta Evans was born on August 24th in Brooklyn, New York. I started playing trumpet in Junior High School and didn't start singing until my junior year of High School. I joined the band in 1975. I came up with the name Area Code because we were looking for a more universal name. I also play the keyboards and recently the drums. In my spare time I like to watch my soap operas (the ABC daytime line-up) and the reality shows like Survivor, Big Brother, Making The Band and the Apprentice to name a few. My favorite movie is The Temptations and all Eddie Murphy movies. I've never been married and have no children, so when we take time off, I go home to Queens, N.Y. for a little R&R and spend time with my mother.
